The Trego County Board of Commissioners voted April 30 to rescind two prior vendor awards to Midwest Computer Services and assigned the remaining services to a different firm. Commissioner Jerry White moved and Commissioner Kurtis Brock seconded to rescind the $2,845.00 award for the airport camera system that had been approved Feb. 27, 2026; the motion carried. The board then moved and seconded to rescind the remaining $2,890.00 award for the panic button system that had been approved April 22, 2025; that motion also carried.
County Attorney Abraham Pfannenstiel will send formal notice to Midwest Computer Services informing the company of the board’s actions, and the transcript records that Digital Ghosts will assume the remaining services for Trego County. The rescissions were described during routine business and no additional hearings or public votes on the procurements were recorded in the meeting minutes for April 30, 2026.
