Insurance broker Dick Osterbuhr told the commission that Aetna’s renewal proposal carries a 7.3% premium increase for 2026. He reported that Blue Cross/Blue Shield submitted three proposals with higher rates than Aetna, UnitedHealthcare declined to submit a proposal, and Delta Dental’s offering will remain the same.
The board approved warrants in the amount of $213,228.16 as recorded in the meeting minutes. The insurance renewal was presented for information; commissioners did not take an alternate action on coverage at this meeting.
