Wyandot County FCFC applies for state Shared Plan incentive funding

Greg Parker, director of the Wyandot County Family & Children First Council, told the executive committee on Jan. 8 that he submitted an application for the State Shared Plan Incentive funding.
Parker said the statewide pool totals $1.4 million and that "if all 88 counties submit applications, each county would get about $16,000." He told members 25% of any award must be spent by the Shared Plan Committee to develop and improve the next two-year plan. Parker said more information will be provided once the state completes its review and notifies awardees.
In the same report, Parker said staff training remains active: a staff member named Justin is currently in wraparound training and Parker plans to attend the next session. He also reported that Ram Squad attendance has been about 65 children and has drawn positive feedback from participants and staff. The committee did not take a formal funding vote at the Jan. 8 executive meeting; members will consider next steps once the state responds to the application.
