Eric Landversicht, Chair of the Wyandot County Family & Children First Council, opened the Feb. 12 meeting where Greg Parker reported the council remains under the Early Intervention Corrective Action Plan (El CAP) through June 30, 2025 but that the CAP is currently on hold as the program transitions departments.
"The FCFC is still under the El CAP until June 30, 2025, though the CAP is on hold as we transition the program," Parker said, adding the council plans to transition Early Intervention fully to the Wyandot County Health Department by July 1, 2025 and that the CAP will not continue once the program has moved. April Gottfried reported the El program has started receiving referrals from local doctors after recent outreach.
Parker presented mid-year El metrics for July 1–Dec. 31, 2024: 37 referrals during the reporting period; 18 children were referred during the timeframe, 10 were determined eligible for Early Intervention, 11 evaluations were completed, and 7 new referrals had completed Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs). Parker said some El coordination services were contracted to Seneca County beginning November 2024 to help the Health Department complete evaluations during the transition.
The council discussed next steps including internal bylaw review and reassessing funding and service gaps (in‑home therapy and respite care) to support the transitioning program. The next FCFC meeting is scheduled for April 9, 2025.
