Greg Rogers elected vice chair; commission introduces new member Katy Ryan Schilke

At the Jan. 8 CEDA meeting, Commissioners elected Greg Rogers as Vice Chair for 2026 (motion by Bob Mako, second by Lorin Wear); the Commission also introduced new member Katy Ryan Schilke. Rogers abstained from the vice-chair vote and the minutes were approved with a location correction.
The CEDA Regional Planning Commission opened its Jan. 8 meeting by introducing new commissioner Katy Ryan Schilke and holding an election for vice chair. Mr. Greg Rogers was nominated and elected Vice Chair for 2026; the nomination was moved by Mr. Bob Mako and seconded by Mr. Lorin Wear. The vote recorded five yes votes (Mako, Wear, Hartley, Ryan Schilke, Sheerin) and one abstention (Rogers).
Commissioners then approved the Nov. 6, 2025 minutes with a correction to the meeting location (Mr. Rogers pointed out the location should read Springfield City Hall). Chair Theresa Hartley explained motion procedure to the new member and the meeting proceeded to the Melody Parks PD amendment presentation.
