Property owner tells commissioners runoff, culvert work eroded yard at 6527 North County Road 725 East

Debbie Mitchell, a property owner at 6527 North County Road 725 East, told the Putnam County Board of Commissioners that runoff from farm ground across the road now flows onto her yard after the county installed a culvert.
"I have lost trees due to the flooding," Mitchell said, describing erosion on land she purchased in 1989. Mitchell was accompanied by Jake Moss when she presented photographs showing the property before and after the culvert work.
Clint Maddox, Putnam County Highway Supervisor, said he would visit the site to evaluate the situation and determine potential remedies. The board discussed that runoff and erosion concerns on several county roads have prompted on-site reviews before deciding on corrective action.
