Bobby Dreiling, county clerk, explained the annual inventory process and said departments submit updates through the county accounting system (CIC) for tangible assets — vehicles, buildings, mobile equipment and grouped items — with a $2,500 threshold per policy. “Every year, I send out to each of the departments and elected officials... for them to update their inventory,” Dreiling said.
Commissioner (speaker_2) moved to approve the 2026 inventory report for the county; the motion was seconded and approved 3-0. One commissioner asked department heads to initial documents legibly so the signatures are identifiable; Dreiling said staff would ask department heads to add initials to improve legibility.
