The Wise County Commissioners' Court approved three final plat actions during its Jan. 28 meeting in Decatur. The court approved the Jerez Ranch final plat (Precinct 1; intersection of PR 4002 and Old Denton Highway) contingent on Commissioner John "Biff" Hayes resolving a requested variance concerning an existing metal well house that appears to overlap a side building line.
The court also approved the Sunset Ridge Lot 1, Block 1 final plat in Precinct 2 and granted final acceptance for Arbor Oaks Lots 1–52 in Precinct 3, with the record noting that Arbor Oaks infrastructure will be maintained for two years. A requested 20-foot road frontage variance for five lots in the Hawkins Oak Estates preliminary plat (one lot at 19.79 feet) was pulled from consideration and not decided at the meeting.
Motion to approve the plats was made by Commissioner Hayes, seconded by Commissioner Danny Lambert, and adopted by the court. The Jerez Ranch approval remains contingent on Hayes' final approval of the variance.
