Treasurer Katherine Hudson reported there were no changes to the FY 2025/26 Wise County Investment Policy and asked the Court to renew it; the Court unanimously adopted the policy. Hudson also reported donations: iCOPY reimbursed courthouse ceremony program printing costs and multiple donors contributed food and supplies to the animal shelter. Asset Control Manager Diana Allen said Sheriff Cary Mellema donated an elliptical machine to the Sheriff's Office.
County Auditor Ann McCuiston presented the Auditor's Report (Oct.–Dec. FY26) and noted a federal mileage rate increase to $0.725 per mile. The Court approved consent agenda items including claims and payroll, budget amendments and a Bright Speed utility/right-of-way permit for CR 3212. Several capital expenditure invoices (Ink & Stitch, $140 and $30) were considered and approved separately.
