Board approves multiple public-safety and 911 contracts, including fiber upgrades and EMS medical direction

The Wyoming County Board authorized a suite of public-safety and 911-related contracts during its Jan. 13 meeting. Contracts approved include maintenance services for the jail management software and watch-tour/shift-log support with Black Creek Integrated Systems (not to exceed $26,441.56 and $10,926 respectively), Frontier Communications fiber upgrades for the 911 phone system ($21,600; Dec. 10, 2025–Dec. 9, 2028) and redundant fiber path to Wethersfield ($32,400; Dec. 10, 2025–Dec. 9, 2030), and Vertiv Corporation maintenance of the uninterrupted power supply (UPS) for primary and backup PSAPs (not to exceed $29,662.49 for 2026–2028).
The board also approved a contract with the Town of Attica for operation/maintenance of a Tonawanda Creek telemetry gauging station (minimum $1,350 annually; total $5,400 for the term Oct. 1, 2025–Sept. 30, 2029) and a contract with University Emergency Medical Services, Inc. for pre-hospital EMS medical direction not to exceed $105,000 (effective Jan. 1, 2026–Oct. 31, 2028). These items were presented by the Public Safety Committee and carried by the board.
