Fayette County commissioners appoint leadership and county officers for 2026

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners opened its Jan. 12 regular meeting with roll call and a slate of officer appointments for 2026. By roll call vote the board named James D. Garland president and Tony Anderson vice president; both motions carried unanimously (Garland, Anderson, Fleak).
The board also appointed Dana Foor as County Administrator and Chasity Wilson as Administrative Clerk for 2026. Each appointment was moved and seconded and passed by roll call. The meeting minutes show the board then adopted a resolution establishing the regular session schedule required under ORC Section 305.06—regular sessions to be held every Monday at 8:00 a.m., or Tuesday when a holiday—with the clerk directed to prepare the following week's agenda by the preceding Friday.
The appointments and the session schedule carry the formal roll‑call votes recorded in the minutes and will govern board procedure through 2026. The meeting adjourned after handling additional business later in the session.
