Commissioner John Forbus moved March 10 to set a disciplinary hearing for Cody Baker with written notice to be sent by email; Vice-Chair Brandon Davis seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The commission also voted not to renew the county administrator's contract, noting April 25, 2026 as the nonrenewal effective date.
In separate inventory actions, the commission approved removing multiple items from the Probate Office fixed-asset list: computers and furniture deemed unserviceable, a cabinet and other equipment to be scrapped, executive desk (asset 500049) to be donated to the Coosa Historical Society, and desk/workstation (asset 600184) to be transferred to the Board of Registrars. The county clerk will document transfers and disposals per standard inventory procedures.
