At its Feb. 10, 2026 meeting the Coosa County Commission recorded the following formal actions (motions and recorded outcomes): commissioners unanimously approved the consent agenda (authorizing the chairman, vice‑chair and administrator to sign checks and approving employee changes); approved appointment of Charles McEwen to the Stewartville Water Authority Board (six‑year term beginning March 2026); approved signing a residents’ letter supporting Kellyton’s opposition to a proposed quarry; approved 15‑ton weight‑limit signage on CR 46, CR 87 and CR 50; authorized bids for paving and striping projects in Kellyton; approved purchase of three 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 trucks for $132,047.01; and approved an interagency agreement with the Alabama Department of Human Resources. The commission also approved a $1,500 appropriation to Volunteer Connections of Central Alabama, Inc.
One nomination failed to progress: there was "no motion" to appoint Elmore Unbehant to the E‑911 Board representing the City of Goodwater, so the appointment did not occur. The minutes show executive session was called and closed by unanimous motion earlier in the meeting; no other votes were recorded in executive session in the public minutes.
