Coosa County renews participation in ACCA Liability Self-Insurance Fund for 2027–2029

The Coosa County Commission approved a resolution March 10 to renew the county's participation in the Association of County Commissions of Alabama (ACCA) Liability Self-Insurance Fund for calendar years 2027–2029. Commissioner Bertha K. McElrath moved for renewal; Vice-Chair Brandon Davis seconded and the vote was unanimous.
The participation agreement specifies contribution and experience-rating provisions, reporting and claims procedures, and conditions for withdrawal. The agreement also includes an annual actuarial valuation requirement and states that fund assets and reserves remain the property of the Fund. The commission directed the chair to execute the participation agreement on behalf of the county.
