County approves $33,416 settlement with Catalis and raises jail medical contract to $54,000

County Attorney Phil Eldridge reported reaching a settlement with Catalis (the successor to Syscon) for unpaid print credits owed to the Probate Office; Eldridge said the agreed settlement amount is $33,416.09 and the Commission authorized Chairman Toby Seay to sign the settlement agreement and release (motion by Commissioner Wade Fulford, seconded by Commissioner Todd Brannon; vote 4‑0).
Eldridge also presented an updated contract for medical services at the county jail to increase the annual fee from $48,000 to $54,000, requiring the doctor to spend at least three hours per week in the jail. Commissioner Fulford moved to approve the updated contract with Dr. John Simmons; Commissioner Bart Wilks seconded and the motion passed 4‑0.
