Clay County 4‑H Shooting & Archery instructors Clayton Presley and Josh Brownell told commissioners the programs each have about 12 participants and that the Beef Barn has no heat for winter training. Tractor Supply quoted $150 per heater and $50 per propane tank, for $200 per heater/tank set.
Commissioner Mayo moved to donate $600 from the Parks & Rec Fund to purchase three heater-and-tank sets; Commissioner Carlson seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
