During its Sept. 23 meeting, Ward County's Commissioners' Court unanimously approved payment of the county's bills and accepted officers' reports and the treasurer's monthly report. The motions were made and seconded by named commissioners (payment of bills: Commissioner Eddie Nelms moved, Commissioner Dexter Nichols seconded; officers' reports: Commissioner Larry Hanna moved, Commissioner Tino Sanchez seconded; treasurer's report: Commissioner Tino Sanchez moved, Commissioner Eddie Nelms seconded).
The court also reviewed the current month's hospital financial reports but took no action on them. These routine approvals clear accounts and allow county administration to proceed with vendor payments and normal financial oversight.
