Fulton County commissioners approve routine minutes, contracts, grants and personnel actions

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners met Jan. 20, 2026 in Wauseon and approved a series of routine actions, including minutes, agenda items, payment of bills and multiple contracts and personnel actions.
The board approved Resolution 2026-039 to accept the Jan. 13 minutes (Commissioner Jon Rupp moved; Commissioner Joe Short seconded; Commissioner Jeff Rupp recorded an abstention). The board likewise approved the Jan. 15 minutes under Resolution 2026-040 with a recorded abstention by Commissioner Jon Rupp. The agenda and payment of bills were approved (Resolutions 2026-041 and 2026-042) by recorded roll calls that resulted in 3-0 votes where noted.
Other routine items included acceptance of the Housing Semi-Annual Program Income Report and the Economic Development Revolving Loan Fund semi-annual report prepared by the Maumee Valley Planning Organization; authorization of a $5,000 draw request under MVPO grant B-D-24-1AX-1; and approval of travel requests and a purchase order edit list for the county auditor’s office (Resolution 2026-058). The board accepted a PY2026 nutrition programming award of $163,059.40 from the Area Office on Aging and authorized Commissioner Jeff Rupp to execute award documents.
Personnel and property actions approved included appointment of Kevin Knierim as a substitute/bus driver for the Senior Center (pending screenings) and acceptance of the resignation of part-time meal delivery driver Jack Myers effective the pay period ending Jan. 24, 2026. The board also authorized disposal/trade-in of two Senior Center Dodge Grand Caravans with listed trade-in values of $4,500 each (Resolution 2026-051).
The meeting recessed briefly and later adjourned after the board scheduled additional hearings and business items as needed.
