Ottawa County commissioners approve minutes, travel, appointment and $8,551.18 voucher

The Board of Ottawa County Commissioners approved several routine items at its Jan. 20, 2026 meeting. Commissioners Donald A. Douglas and Mark E. Coppeler moved and seconded approval of the minutes from the Jan. 15, 2026 meeting and a separate motion to approve travel expense requests; both motions passed with Commissioners Mark W. Stahl, Donald A. Douglas and Mark E. Coppeler recorded as voting yes.
The board also voted to appoint Richard Biro to the Erie-Ottawa International Airport Authority, effective Feb. 7, 2026, for a three-year term expiring Feb. 7, 2029, acting on a recommendation from the Erie-Ottawa Regional Airport Authority. In finance action, the board approved the Ottawa County Voucher Report dated Jan. 16, 2026, in the total amount of $8,551.18 and authorized the County Auditor to issue the warrant for payment. Later in the meeting the board authorized transfers and appropriations requested by the Auditor’s Office related to the AM-250 program. All of those motions were moved by Commissioner Donald A. Douglas and seconded by Commissioner Mark E. Coppeler and passed by the votes recorded in the minutes.
The meeting record shows the board adjourned at 2:01 p.m.; the final adjournment vote was recorded as Commissioner Stahl absent and Commissioners Douglas and Coppeler voting yes.
