The motion to approve the pay order was made by Commissioner Terry Schlagel and seconded by Commissioner Sara Gjerde; all commissioners voted aye.
County staff and contractors provided project updates at the meeting. Tobin Morris discussed the project’s finances when the pay order was considered. Later, Adam Polley told the board the road’s top layer was being placed and that the project remains on schedule; Polley said work at a business front in Carpenter will require additional shoulder work estimated at about $2,400. The board recorded the payment in the claims list and approved the disbursement along with other claims totaling $1,958,396.98.
The board took no further action beyond approving the pay order; county staff and the contractor will proceed with the next construction steps and any minor change orders related to the Carpenter shoulder work.
