County health department reports thousands of encounters, expanded in‑home visits

County Health Director Dana Rickley presented the department's 2025 overview to the board, reporting 2,596 documented encounters across programs. Rickley said Family Planning & Women's Health served 27 individuals with 70 total encounters, and immunization services recorded 2,836 encounters with education provided at each visit.
Rickley noted the Maternal & Child Health Program completed 394 encounters focused on assessments, developmental screenings, counseling and injury prevention. The Health Department's In‑Home Service delivered 3,303 visits to elderly and disabled residents, a program partially funded by the Area Agency on Aging that supports individuals remaining safely in their homes and assists transitions to higher care levels when needed.
