Commissioners agree to seek bridge inspections; county offers to split estimated $50,000 cost with tribal roads office

Kieffaber asked county staff to send a letter to the Tribal Road and Bridge office proposing that Jackson County pay half the inspection cost now, with reimbursement to follow once responsibility is settled.
Commissioner discussion framed the proposal as a short-term payment to ensure safety and compliance while jurisdiction is clarified. The board agreed to the plan and instructed Scott to schedule the work and send the proposed cost-sharing letter to the tribal office.
