The Jewell County Commissioners, in a conference call that included Republic County Commissioners, approved Joint Resolution 25-09JW on July 14, 2025. Republic County explained that the resolution concerns maintenance of 24 miles along the Jewell–Republic county line and five miles of asphalt on County Line Road; Commissioner Ervin Underwood moved to approve the resolution and Commissioner Ed Duskie seconded.
