Commissioners approve purchase of two Ford single-cab pickups from Glavan Ford

Commissioner Thurlow moved to purchase two Ford single-cab pickups from Glavan Ford of Clay Center at $53,200 each for a total of $106,400; Commissioner Carlson seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board said it preferred buying locally so vehicles could be serviced in Clay Center. Shomper indicated the department will put three older pickups on Purplewave for auction and will begin mowing and trimming work this week.
