An administrator explained the percentage was budgeted in the draft 2026–27 plan: “If you watched Matt’s brilliant screencast, you know that 2.63% has been budgeted,” the administrator said, and the motion was presented to make those adjustments retroactive to July 1 for eligible employees already on payroll.
The motion specified that professional educators were excluded because their pay is subject to ongoing negotiations with the Sun Prairie Education Association; administrators said they would engage professional educators’ representatives later in the summer or early fall. The motion passed on a recorded roll call with the members present voting yes. Administration said payroll teams would work to make affected employees whole for pay already owed for July.
