The Clark County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on Nov. 19, 2024 to adopt Resolution 23-24, formally approving the Clark County Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan 2024–2029. The resolution cites Federal Emergency Management Agency approval of the plan on Oct. 18, 2024 and a series of public planning meetings held between January 2023 and June 2024.
Chairman Chris Sass signed the resolution and Auditor Christine Tarbox attested to it. The plan, described in the resolution as containing “several potential future projects to mitigate hazard damage in Clark County,” will guide local hazard-mitigation priorities and is eligible for FEMA-related funding and support under the approved plan timeline.
