Randy Blehm presented the Road & Bridge department’s December analysis at the Jan. 20 Meade County Commissioners meeting. He discussed several operational recommendations including increasing charge-out rates for county equipment and replacing the flashing light at the Jayhawk and Lake intersection (west of the lake). Blehm also said the county should seek a quote from Ina Alert to replace the camera system at the Road & Bridge shop in Meade and at the Fowler shop building.
The presentation focused on operational needs and possible capital or maintenance spending; the minutes record discussion but do not show a formal motion to appropriate funds or approve specific procurement at this meeting. Commissioners later entered an executive session for personnel matters and took routine approvals before adjourning.
