Register of Deeds wins approval to buy preservation scanner and index books

Jerica also presented a purchase order for 13 index books with paper to complete a digitization project. Commissioner Linda Gerhardt moved to approve the index book purchase (Navrat’s) for $9,830.95 and Commissioner Keith Kelly seconded; the motion carried 3–0. Jerica said shipping will add to the total, which she expects will reach about $11,000, and that digitized records will be sent to the salt mines for long-term preservation.
