Road and Bridge Superintendent Joe Gardner told the Jackson County Board of County Commissioners that crews hauled rock to multiple locations the week of Jan. 20–23 and that the rock fund balance stood at $856,495 after spending 2.5 days hauling. He said crews cleared snow for about six hours on Saturday to keep roads safe and reported recent equipment repairs, including sending a dump truck to Foley to fix a worn hydraulic motor.
"We had a balance of $856,495 in the rock fund after spending 2.5 days of the past week hauling," Gardner said, and described ongoing driveway tube replacements at several local sites. Chairman Mark Pruett asked Gardner to pass along thanks to crews who worked on the weekend. The Board did not take separate formal action on the update, which also noted a monthly safety meeting and updated first-aid kits.
