Fire Chief/EMA Robbie Stone told the board the ISO audit is underway and recommended purchasing certain small equipment and possibly turbo drafts, which he estimated at about $9,000 and said could benefit the ISO rating. He also reported progress on the EOC building.
Following executive session the board took several actions affecting the fire department: assigning building inspections to the Fire Department at one-half of permit fees, and continuing employment with Wade Carver as a full-time administrative assistant for the Fire Department at $684 weekly with benefits rolled over. Commissioner Buddy Willis moved to assign inspections to the Fire Department at the prior pay rate structure; Commissioner Charlton Gillis seconded and the motion carried.
