Mitchell Davis presented the EMS report for October, recording 91 total calls, of which 56 were transports and 35 were non-transports, and noting ambulance reimbursement for the month was $24,852.45. Calls were distributed across the county: 50 in Pearson, 26 in Willacoochee, 12 in Axson and 3 in Douglas.
Following discussion, Vice-Chairperson Tom Morris moved to change EMS scheduling to start on Mondays beginning in November as a step to reduce overtime costs; the motion was seconded by Commissioner Gloria Farrell and carried. The board recorded the scheduling change as an operational step to manage overtime expenses.
