County declines 2025 Local Emergency Management Performance Grant participation

Auditor Sherman presented the Local Emergency Management Performance Grant (LEMPG) and explained counties may participate annually or not; she noted McCook County has not participated for many years due to the grant's terms and conditions. Commissioner Chuck Mehlbrech moved that the County not sign the 2025 LEMPG Agreement; Chairman Charles Liesinger seconded and the motion carried.
The Board recorded the decision to decline participation for 2025; staff will proceed without LEMPG funding unless the Board revisits the issue in the future.
