Elk County emergency management: siren test passed, regional tabletop exercise planned

Erica Cordell, Elk County Emergency Management, told the board the outdoor siren test on June 2, 2025 passed and that she attended the Homeland Security Council meeting in Chanute on May 20 and the KEMA meeting in Chautauqua County on June 5. Cordell encouraged signups for a Regional tabletop exercise planned for July 9, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at the SEK Impact Center in Chanute.
Cordell also said she has received 11 of the 18 mailed requests to update Shelter Agreements across the county. She presented an official flyer for the Regional TTX and encouraged county staff and partners to participate; no funding decisions were recorded during the meeting.
