Commissioners approve Flock Safety and Axon contracts for law enforcement; award jail phones bid

The Court also approved a contract with Axon Enterprise, Inc. for cameras and tasers for the sheriff's department and awarded the jail phones and tablets bid to City Tele-Coin Company, Inc.
Minutes record that the Flock Safety contract was "for a term of one year, renewable annually," and that the jail-communications award was adopted by unanimous vote after a motion by Commissioner Eddie Nelms and a second by Commissioner Larry Hanna. The sheriff's request to reallocate funds and positions in the department was also approved during the same agenda sequence.
