Trego County Commissioners on May 29 approved a renewal of the county’s Fire Alarm Specialist contract for the courthouse and law enforcement center and took several procurement actions including rescinding older IT bids.
County Clerk Lori Augustine presented the Fire Alarm Specialist contract and a separate Digital Ghosts LLC service contract to the board. "The Commissioners viewed and Chairman White signed the 2024 tax year abatement #2026000068," the minutes record. Chairman Jerry White then moved to renew the fire-alarm contract and Commissioner Kurtis Brock seconded; the motion carried.
The board also rescinded a $9,500.00 bid from Huber and Associates that had been approved March 18, 2025 for an Enterpol interface after Commissioner Kurtis Brock moved and Commissioner Jared Hager seconded the rescission. Later in the meeting Commissioners voted to rescind a March 24, 2026 laptop bid from Newegg for the health department in the amount of $1,073.24.
All procedural motions at the meeting were seconded and recorded as carried. The Commissioners also approved routine vouchers and payroll before adjourning.
