At 9:38 a.m. on Jan. 13, Commissioner Judy Dodge moved to recess the regular meeting to an executive session to discuss appointments, dismissals, promotions, job postings, resignations, discipline, pending litigation, employments and economic development; the motion was seconded by Commissioner Mary A. McDonald and carried on a roll call in which Commissioner Carolyn Rice and Commissioner Judy Dodge voted 'aye.'
The executive session was called to order at 9:39 a.m. County Administrator Michael B. Colbert presented a wide-ranging list of personnel actions during the closed session. The minutes record the categories of actions reviewed: effective‑date amendments; full‑time regular appointments; voluntary terminations; end of pay supplements/upgrades; promotions, including transfers between departments; reassignments; rescinds; part‑time status changes; classification/PCN corrections; suspensions; retirements; temporary upgrades; full‑time appointment status changes; rate increases and rate adjustments; intra‑department transfers; classifications granted on receipt of certification; involuntary terminations; administrative leave with pay and ends of administrative leave, and miscellaneous personnel matters.
The executive session adjourned at 10:00 a.m. The board reconvened at 10:03 a.m.; no further business was recorded and Commissioner Carolyn Rice adjourned the meeting at 10:04 a.m. The minutes were certified by Clerk Emily Bradford.
