Wilson County canvass confirms 765 ballots; two provisional ballots counted

County Election Officer Kayla Busch reported that 765 ballots were cast in the Nov. 4 city and school general elections and that election staff had flagged 11 provisional ballots for review. "Only 2 were valid to be counted," Busch said, and she told the board the remaining nine were not cast by eligible voters.
After reviewing the provisional determinations, the Board of County Commissioners agreed by consensus to include the two valid provisional ballots in the official totals. Commissioner Jerry Scott moved to approve the canvass as presented; Commissioner Andrew Miller seconded the motion and it carried. The board recorded the canvass results as official.
