Wilson County commissioners voted Oct. 22 to accept a Bank of Commerce interest-rate quote of 3.94% to finance the 2026 MowerMax Prime Mover lease-purchase. Commissioner Andrew Miller moved for approval; Commissioner Jerry Scott seconded the motion, which carried with Commissioner Casey Lair recorded as abstaining.
County Coordinator Kris Marple presented multiple interest-rate quotes earlier in the meeting: Atmax Leasing quoted 5.24%; Bank of Commerce 3.94%; Community National Bank & Trust 4.50%; First National Bank in Fredonia 4.00%; and First Oak Bank 4.75%. The board selected the Bank of Commerce rate during the formal motion recorded in the minutes.
