At the Sept. 26 special meeting, Engineer Henry Shuler gave the Police Jury a Capital Outlay status report covering multiple parish roads and projects. He said Eugene Garrett Road work is awaiting state approval and soil borings are underway; Aunt Marie's Road has completed soil borings and is moving forward with surveys; the Corporate Endeavor Agreement for Lum Fox was approved this week; Frank White is nearly finished; Old Alexandria is ready to go to bid pending State approval; and L. Sullivan is getting ready to bid.
The Jury agreed to ask for the same roads on the next Capital Outlay list for the cycle due Nov. 1. No funding reallocations or formal approvals were made during this special called meeting; the updates are preparatory steps in the capital funding and state review processes.
