Resident tells jury Library Board of Control has not met in two years, cites state statutes

At the Jan. 14 meeting, Jeffrey Sadow of Bossier City addressed the jury during public comment and said "it has been two years and four days since the Bossier Parish Library Board of Control has met." He accused the board of failing to meet in 2025, not electing officers as required, and not forwarding a budget from the board to the police jury, citing La. R.S. 25:214, 25:215 and 25:220.1.
Sadow presented a document to jurors outlining his perception of state law violations and said his research indicates Bossier Parish may be the only parish in Louisiana where the Library Board of Control has not met. The minutes record no formal response from jurors during public comment. The jury did not take immediate action on the record in response to the complaint during the meeting.
