The Bossier Parish Police Jury held a public hearing and approved the abandonment of a portion of the servitude for the demolished section of Swan Lake Road (Section 26, Township 19N, Range 13W), recorded in Clerk of Court Registry No. 688308. Parish Attorney Patrick Jackson explained that acquisition documents contemplated a potential sale-back to previous owners if the property was no longer needed for the project.
Jurors voted to approve the abandonment and later adopted Ordinance No. 5090, which describes the abandoned tract by metes and bounds and lists the area as approximately 0.551 acres. The ordinance was offered by Philip Rodgers, seconded by Pam Glorioso, and adopted unanimously; a separate motion was recorded to authorize the Parish President or Parish Administrator to execute related sale documents per the reversionary clause.
