Parish Engineer Eric Hudson told jurors four bids were received for Project No. 2025-126, Courthouse Generator Upgrade, and recommended awarding the contract to low bidder Camus Electric Co., Inc. at $1,422,200.00. "I recommend approval of the low bidder, Camus Electric Co., Inc., with a bid of $1,422,200.00," Hudson said; the minutes record that this amount is below the project estimate and that the project is 90% funded through the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP).
The jury voted unanimously to award the bid and authorized execution of documents. The motion to award was made by Jimmy Cochran and seconded by Doug Rimmer; the record lists all 12 jurors as voting yes. The minutes list competing bids and amounts and formalize a resolution authorizing the Parish Administrator or Parish President to execute contract documents.
