The Bossier Parish Police Jury unanimously elected Tom Salzer as president and Julianna Parks as vice president for 2026 at its Jan. 14 meeting in Benton. Philip Rodgers nominated the pair; with no further nominations, the jury recorded a unanimous vote of 12–0.
The jury also voted to appoint Dr. Ken Ward as Parish Administrator for a one-year term, Ashley Ezell as Parish Secretary for a two-year term, and Stacie Fernandez as Parish Treasurer for a two-year term. "Motion carried," the minutes record, with each appointment approved by unanimous roll call. President Salzer later presented an outgoing President's plaque to former President Glenn Benton and asked members to permit agenda items to be read and discussed before motions to streamline deliberations.
