County accepts FY26 accountability-court awards totaling roughly $776,000 with required local matches

Hillier summarized the awards and county matches: “Felony adult drug court had $243,631 award with a county match of $42,009.94,” family treatment court received $171,591 (match about $30,030), mental-health court $165,193 (match $29,152), and the DUI court $147,425 (match about $26,000). Staff said the matches would come from the county’s designated funds and that the awards will cover a majority of FY26 operating costs for these programs. The board moved and carried a motion to accept the awards.
Commissioners asked follow-up questions about the mental-health court’s operations and requested a work session to better understand first-responder interactions and program needs.
