Property appraisal staff (Dan and colleagues) told commissioners they plan a countywide aerial flight in January 2026 to refresh orthophotos and oblique imagery. The vendor quote for the aerials and obliques is $128,500 and the county's share across a three‑year agreement is presented as $60,400 (annual payment of $20,133), to be funded from pilot processing fee revenue.
Staff said all participating cities have verbally agreed to cost sharing subject to their councils' approvals. The proposal includes password‑protected oblique imagery for internal departments and an optional LIDAR/topography add‑on to capture elevation data while the plane is flying, which county staff said is more efficient and cost‑effective if coordinated regionally. "If weather permitted, we should have deliveries by March 1," staff said about the January flight.
