The Morgan County Board of Commissioners elected Commissioner Blake McCormack as chairman for 2026 and Commissioner Ben Riden Jr. as vice‑chair at its Jan. 6 regular meeting. Commissioner Nathan Park moved to elect McCormack; the motion was seconded and the election passed unanimously. Commissioner Carl Jones moved to elect Ben Riden Jr. as vice‑chair; Commissioner Philipp von Hanstein seconded that motion and it also passed unanimously.
