Emanuel County adopts $144 qualifying fee for county offices in 2026

The order, authorized under O.C.G.A. §21-2-131, fixes the qualifying fee at $144.00 for County Board of Education candidates and $144.00 for County Commissioner candidates; the order states the fees will be published prior to Feb. 1, 2026 and recorded with the meeting minutes.
Commissioner John Moore moved to adopt the qualifying-fee schedule; Vice Chairman Timmy Oliver seconded the motion. The board’s vote was unanimous (five in favor, none opposed). The county administrator’s office will publish the fee schedule as required by state code, and a copy of the order is on file in the minutes for public inspection.
