Emanuel County commissioners announce 2026 committee assignments

Under the delegation, Commissioner Kawame Coleman will serve on the Twin City–Emanuel County Recreation Authority and related public-facilities panels; Commissioner Ricky Thompson was assigned to the Emanuel Medical Center Authority, the East Georgia Regional Airport Authority and the Emanuel County Public Facilities Authority; Commissioner John Moore was named to the Franklin Memorial Library Board, the Emanuel County Health Department Board and the 4-H Foundation and will serve on Heart of Georgia Altamaha Regional Commission panels. Vice Chairman Timmy Oliver received appointments including representation on the Emanuel County Chamber of Commerce Board. The board did not specify staggered term lengths during the announcement. The delegations take effect immediately for calendar year 2026.
