The Clark County Board of Commissioners adopted two resolutions at its Aug. 6 meeting. Resolution 17-24 renews the county's participation in the First Planning and Development District and commits $12,120.78 to the First District Association of Local Governments for fiscal year 2025 (Oct. 1, 2024–Sept. 30, 2025). The motion was approved with all members voting aye.
The board also adopted Resolution 18-24 to update Clark County’s investment policy, citing SDCL 4-5-8 and listing authorized institutions (including Dacotah Bank, Colliers Securities and the South Dakota Public Funds Investment Trust) and permitted investment types (U.S. Treasury securities, agency securities, CDs up to 18 months, money market mutual funds, repurchase agreements and the local government investment pool). The resolution requires quarterly investment reporting by the County Treasurer.
