The Clark County Board of Commissioners approved major payments and a change order affecting two road projects on Aug. 6, 2024. Commissioners voted to pay Asphalt Paving $423,699.11 for Pay Application #3 on County Road 17 and to pay Halme, Inc. $550,997.21 for Pay Application #2 on County Road 38. The board also approved Change Order #1 for County Road 17, increasing that project’s cost by $25,733.00 to extend corrugated metal pipes and reconcile field-verified quantities. All motions passed with all voting aye.
Adam Polley of IMEG provided a construction update on County Road 17 earlier in the meeting, saying gravel has been applied and priming is scheduled to start about Aug. 18, 2024 on the north 5½ miles. The approvals authorize the county to issue the payments and proceed with the scheduled work on both CR 17 and CR 38; the board noted an upcoming change order on the CR 38 project and recorded that supporting documents are on file with the Auditor.
